Ealing LA Go-Live with CPD Online Spring 2011!
15th December 2010



We are delighted to announce London Borough of Ealing will be rolling out CPD Online. The solution provides an integrated system to advertise and manage training and development provision for school staff, governors and members of the wider children’s workforce. The rollout will also include a complete venue management system and room bookings for Ealing’s Education Centre.

Kent LA launch CPD Online across many services

Having successfully launched CPD Online across hundreds of Kent schools early in 2010, Kent LA have since rolled out the solution to further members of the children’s workforce. They now offer training to Early Years Practitioners, Governors, Social Care staff, Local Authority and other multi agency staff via their CPD Online site.

Dorset LA set to launch CPD Online Spring 2011

CPD Online will Go-live to all Dorset schools next Spring. Dorset will be working closely with Poole and Bournemouth to achieve an integrated system across the three LAs. Users will be able to benefit from a single account pulling training together in one place. Courses can be cross advertised between the three Authorities opening up the training opportunities for users.


South East Wales Consortium roll out new CPD Online modules

Following the successful launch of CPD Online the SE Wales Consortium have been rolling out new modules. This has included the CV Builder allowing staff to easily and effectively build a CV within their Electronic Development Record and the Effective Practice Database which allows schools to upload information and case studies of effective practice with an easy-to-use search for end users to utilise. They will also be releasing their Performance Management module to all schools very soon allowing the performance review process, targets, evidence, learning aspects and progress to be managed and tracked online.

Herefordshire gear up to launch CPD Online
15th November 2010




Herefordshire Children’s Trust will be launching CPD Online in January across the workforce. This will include Schools, Early years, Governors and Multi Agency. The Trust are very excited about moving to an online system where they can remove paper based systems and give all users access to their own online Personal Development Record which they can access anywhere and at any time.

Kent LA set to launch new services
28th May 2010


Having successfully launched CPD Online across hundreds of Kent schools early in 2010, Kent LA now prepares to introduce the solution to a further two areas of the workforce.

Multi Agency and Safeguarding services are keen to start adding their courses online, allowing users to have anytime access to course information, book places online and receive communication via email. CPD Online will be launched to a further seven Kent services over the coming year.

Camden LA to launch NQT Manager
5th April 2010


Following the highly successful rollout of CPD Online, Camden LA are preparing to further increase efficiency with the introduction of the NQT Manager Module. This easy-to-use solution includes many features to help schools and LAs track and report on NQTs' progress. LA NQT Administrators can generate reports at any time, upload assessment forms and dates and track when assessments have been completed or are due.

Wales delighted with their bespoke updates

Schools across Wales are delighted with updates to their CourseFinder module. Staff have reported enhanced user experience as a result of comprehensive course session information, updated reporting methods, amendments to search facilities and updates to the site's look and feel.

West Midlands eForum launch
18th March 2010


The eForum for the West Midlands communications platform has recently launched across the West Midlands workforce, with areas of the workforce each having their own 'network' area.

The site contains many professional networking tools and resources including news, events, notice board posts, job vacanices, conversation boards, comments and member profiles.

Users are kept up to date with any new content and posts added to their networks and matching their profile preferences.

SE Wales release their Good Practice Database
6th March 2010


South East Wales have launched their Good Practice Database which allows schools to upload information and case studies of good practice with an easy-to-use search for end users to utilise.

Users can search for good practice by a variety of filters including LEA, phase, theme, subject area and keyword. Case studies are automatically formatted into web pages which include images, links and resources.

An integrated solution for the integrated workforce

North Somerset LA have completed rolling out CPD Online to their integrated Children's Workforce. This includes Schools, Governors, Social Care, Health and Early Years. This single software solution fully supports the One Workforce Agenda. CPD Online has been so successful that other areas of the council have started to adopt it include Corporate IT and Elected Members.

Automatic feeds to the TDA National Database
2nd February 2010


The TDA have recently launched a national CPD database of course opportunities. CPD Online can send all course information to the TDA database automatically every night, saving LAs time and money.

Wiltshire LA were keen to get all their course information uploaded automatically from their CPD Online system to the national database and have been successfully up and running with this since August.

Kent start preparing for their launch of CPD Online

Kent will be launching their multi-channel CPD Online system in 2010 which will operate across many service areas including Schools, Early Years, Social Care, Health and the Private and Voluntary sector. With 580 schools, 750 settings and hundreds of organisations, Kent CPD Online will pull together and advertise all the training opportunities across the LA, providing an easy-to-use unified solution.

CPD Online celebrate a successful BETT 2010

CPD Online exhibited at BETT 2010, as part of WebBased Education alongside the new 14-19 Solutions and uLearn by InfoMapper and is pleased to report a very successful event! At the time of writing, BETT 2010 was well on its way to breaking last year's record figure of 30,000 visitors so it was lucky that we had more PCs on our stand than ever before as this enabled us to demonstrate CPD Online to many more people.

Camden TDS launch CPD Online!

Camden Training and Development Services provide training for a whole range of sectors within both Camden's Children's Workforce and Adult Social Care Workforce. From September 1st, 2009 TDS have been advertising their training opportunities online and taking online bookings. All staff have their own online Personal Development Record and Line Managers are able to easily access training information about their teams.

Gloucestershire LA goes live

Gloucestershire's CPD Online advertises courses from their SEN Service areas and provides an Expertise and Brokerage database for users to search by specialism. Additionally, school staff from across Gloucestershire are able to request and track support from the SEN Outreach Support Service and can access a large amount of information and forums for SEN users groups.

Poole gear up to launch Governors Online

Poole Local Authority has been using CPD Online across their schools and Early Years setting for the last three years with great success. They are now gearing up to launch their Governor System which will support the management of governing bodies within the Local Authority. Clerks will be able to keep their Governors information up to date and view their governing body composition and information at any time.

SE Wales Consortium release CV Builder to all teaching staff

The CV Builder module has been rolled out to all schools across the South East Wales Consortium (five LEAs). The module allows staff to easily and effectively build a CV within their Electronic Development Record. Staff can record all information in one place and generate professional-looking CVs. The system reflects the key aim of GTC Wales to introduce a standardised, web-based electronic Personal Development Record for all teaching staff in Wales.

VT Four S launch CPD Online!

Tracking Newly Qualified Teachers gets easier
3rd October 2008


A new CPD module - NQTs Online - has bene launched in North Somerset to help the LA effectively track. monitor and support Newly Qualified Teachers as they progress through their first year of teaching.

This module allows school and LA staff to easily monitor and support each NQT even if they complete their induction period in more than one school.

The DCSF KS2 music CPD programme aims to establish and support good practice in respect of the teaching and learning of instrumental and vocal music at KS2.

CPD Online has been customised to fully meet the needs of participants, course mentors and Trinity College's administration team. This includes e-learning materials and discussion forums as well as mentoring and reporting tools.

Plymouth Workforce Development goes live
28th October 2008


Plymouth City Council have launched CPD Online as a single point for information about a comprehensive range of training and development opportunities for all who work with children, young people and families.

As well as a course finder and booking tool, users will be able to access all course information and pre-course materials and be directed to similar training and development opportunities that may be of interest.
